Proponents for in-state tuition being granted to undocumented students are awaiting word from Congress about the possibility. Those who oppose offering in-state tuition to these young people are also awaiting word. In the meantime, undocumented students will still be charged out-of-state tuition, which is often three times the cost of it’s in-state counterpart.
“One of my hopes is that Congress will address the DACA issue. If they address that and make it a federal issue, it will help our regional bill. That’s where we have lost in the past. It was an executive order. But it is Congress’ responsibility.”
