According to reporting by WMC Action News, a new voucher proposal is stirring up controversy in Shelby County and has led to some verbal sparring between state lawmakers. While opponents see the voucher as a money grab, Brian Kelsey sees it as a way to determine, once and for all, if opportunity scholarships work. He also sees it a lifeline for kids who just can’t wait for adults to clean up the thirty failing schools in Shelby County.
